Shelton National will begin play in the section one tournament on Thursday against District One winner North Stamford. It has a bye on Wednesday, when the tournament opens.
Shelton National won the district three title with an 8-5 win over Seymour on Friday, its first district championship since playing in the Little League World Series in 2008.

Pool play continues on Saturday (district five, Berlin), Sunday (district four, East Haven) and next Monday (district two, Fairfield American). The sectional championship game is set for July 27.
On Friday, Shelton National erased a 3-1 deficit with seven runs in the third inning.

Connor Prindle, Carl Kopf and Brendan Stewart homered for Shelton National. Prindle's two-run shot snapped a 3-3 tie and gave Shelton National the lead for good.
In 11-year-old baseball, Seymour defeated Shelton National 6-3 on Saturday to take the title. Seymour defeated Shelton National twice out of the loser's bracket to win the championship.
