Shelton National charged into the finals of the District Three 12-year-old Little League tournament with a 6-1 victory over Peter J. Foley Little League on Monday.

It will await the PJF-Seymour winner in the loser's bracket final. PJF and Seynour clash on Wednesday for the right to face Shelton in the final on Friday at Prospect (5:45 p.m.).  An "if necessary" game would be played at Prospect on Sunday.

In 11-year-old baseball, Shelton National advanced to the final with a 12-8 win over Seymour on Sunday.

It will play in the final on Thursday (Casa Grande, 5:45 p.m.)  against either Shelton American or Seymour, who meet in the loser's bracket final on Tuesday (Union City, 5:45 p.m.).

Shelton American stayed alive Sunday with a 14-5 win over Union City.

The annual Littlefellows tournament begins on Saturday and will feature 16 teams from Ansonia, Shelton, Easton, Fairfield, Ridgefield, Wilton, Weston, Trumbull, Monroe and Naugatuck.
