After a week off, the Shelton boys begin the second half of the season on Friday when they host Amity at 7 p.m.
The Gaels concluded the first half with a 4-6 record following last Friday's 74-62 loss to Sheehan. Shelton will need to at least match that mark in the second half to qualify for the Class LL state tournament.
Amity also did not play on Tuesday and is coming off a 43-38 loss to Cheshire on Jan. 13.
That loss snapped a five-game winning streak and was just the second of the season for the Spartans, who dropped to 8-2.
