Where in the Valley is Joe Pagliaro Jr?

Campaign Chairman Joe Pagliaro Jr. visits the Volunteer Action Center at Valley United Way and talks about the services donations support.

As part of the 2012-2013 Valley United Way Community Campaign, we're putting Campaign Chairman Joe Pagliaro Jr. on the road to give you an idea of just what services your donations are helping to support. Joe is making stops all over the Valley adding his own thoughts about the importance of the services being provided in the community. In addition to the video, we'll also have a story about the agency to give you a fuller perspective of the importance of the agency.

The Volunteer Center, a division of Valley United Way, serves as a community resource matching the skills and interests of Valley volunteers with the needs of nonprofit agencies providing services in the Valley.

Directed by Pat Tarasovic, the Volunteer Center maintains a database of volunteer opportunities listed by nonprofit agencies in the Valley. It also coordinates the Corporate Volunteer Council (Area Businesses) and the High School Volunteer Council (Area High Schools) as well as United Way's Youth Leadership Program.

A special service of Valley United Way is Volunteer Solutions where you can list or find volunteer opportunities online on Valley United Way’s website.

The Volunteer Center is a vital part of Valley United Way. By reaching out to the community it determines where there is the most need and finds a way to provide aid.

Why is it the panel for this event does not include a single advocate for gun-owners' rights? WithRead More all due respect to Chief McNamara, why does the panel no include a person who can speak to gun safety from a gun-owning civilian's perspective? ML, you claim that the assembled folks "do not offer judgements about gun ownership" but they are not including a single voice that can offer perspective on gun ownership. I have been to "education" sessions sponsored by Meg's March for Change and they are one-sided indoctrinations into gun control advocacy. >>>> I was in Hartford for the public hearings in January when both Meg and March co-founder Nancy gave their personal testimonies and they all but threatened the legislators on the panel with election day retribution for all those who did not tow the gun-control line of thinking (i.e. March and CAGV). To suggest that Meg "does not offer judgements" is fallacious and disingenuous.
