Former Shelton Assistant Finance Director Sharon Scanlon appeared briefly in Derby Superior Court this morning, where her case was pushed back until Tuesday, Feb. 26.
Scanlon left the courthouse quickly, surrounded by friends and family, and was not available for comment. Her lawyer, William Dow III, spoke briefly and said he has not yet read the entire arrest warrant but that it is long and "really requires some study."
Dow said Scanlon intends to plead not guilty on Feb. 5. She faces 57 felony charges for allegedly stealing upwards of over a ten year period.
