Police Investigating Dirt Bike Accident on Longfellow

The following information comes from a press release by Lt. Robert Kozlowsky of the Shelton Police Dept.

On July 24 at approximately 5 p.m., and EMS were sent to the area of 10 Longfellow Rd. for an accident with injuries. The accident involved a Nissan Murano and a dirt bike. The driver of the dirt bike, 21-year-old Christopher Kurt of Shelton, was taken to the hospital due to his injuries.

Police are still investigating the accident at this time. Police are looking for anyone who may have seen anything pertaining to this accident. Police are specifically looking to speak with the driver of an older white Chevy or Ford van, with solid sides and possibly some brown lettering on the sides toward the rear of the van. Police believe the driver of the van witnessed the accident and helped block off the scene until officers arrived.
