Police Arrest Suspect of Residence Inn Armed Robbery

Shelton Police arrested a 19-year-old man on Monday on a warrant charging him in connection with the armed robbery of The Residence Inn last June, the New Haven register reports.

Lancelot Supersad Jr., of Bridgeport, was charged with first-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny.

Residence Inn employees told police two men entered the hotel on Bridgeport Ave. demanding cash after displaying a firearm. The two men then left the hotel with the cash and left in a vehicle where a third person was waiting. No one was injured in the robbery and police did not disclose how much money was stolen.

Supersad is being held on $75,000 bail and is due in Superior Court in Derby on July 22.
