Milford Man Charged in Hasselhoff Sign Theft

A Milford man is accused of hitting with an SUV a Cumberland Farms gas station clerk who tried to stop thieves from stealing a David Hasselhoff sign in August.

Adam Holter, 19, of Applewood Lane, Milford, is charged with second-degree assault and reckless endangerment. He turned himself in on Thursday.

Police said thieves in an SUV tried to steal a David Hasselhoff sign early Aug. 20. When the clerk tried to intervene, the SUV hit him, police said.

Lt. Robert Kozlowsky said the clerk is still recovering. He was recently released from Bridgeport Hospital, a spokesperson there said.
