Shelton and the rest of Fairfield County could be in for a rough day. The National Weather Service warns that storms this afternoon and especially later tonight “could produce small hail, gusty winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning.”
A hazardous weather alert says that a slow-moving cold front is moving through the area on Friday afternoon and early Saturday, which could more more “thunderstorms with very heavy rain and gusty winds.”
There’s a high of 83 degrees expected today, with a low of 65 at night. Rainfall could reach three quarters of an inch.
