Panera Worker Hurt In Car Accident

Panera Worker Hurt In Accident - Needs Help

Hi Folks,  Hope you had a wonderful holiday.  For those of you that frequent the Panera Bread on Bridgeport Ave., you may know one of the workers - CC.  She mainly works in the dining room and takes care of her customers in a friendly, helpful and caring way.  She (and her son) were in a car accident two weeks ago (she was not at fault) and had to undergo surgery on Monday.  Her car was totaled.  She will be out of work for a few more weeks.  I am her mom.

I am doing all I can to help her and the two children financially and physically.  We have a small family so help is scarce.  I am calling out to any of her customers that know her or that she touched in any way to see if they can find it in there hearts to help her out over the next few weeks.

I have asked Panera to let me sell candy bars on select days (am waiting for approval) to help her pay her bills while she is out of work.  The Holidays of course make it even more difficult, but whatever you can do to help would be so, so very much appreciated.

If you are so inclined to help in some other way I am putting my address out so I can be contacted directly.  It is:  freedmonthekeys@gmail.com.  Any and all help will be welcomed.

Also, if anyone is aware of a vehilcle that is in good runing condition that would work with two cars seats in back for a reasonable price, please pass that on as well.

Thank you so much for your consideration and concern for CC.  We are all doing the best we can to get through this.  CC is not a complainer, but I know she is having a difficult time with this.  Thanks,  Marie Hooke (CC's mom).

I will be a Panera (Shelton) at 9:00 a.m. selling Lindt's chocolates as a fund raiser. Anyone so inclined come on down and buy a bunch. I have 500 on hand of all flavors.
Also, next Saturday we are having a get together at Draft House (Bridgeport Ave.) from 8:30 on. Any food or drinks purchased with our group will have a portion donated to CC. Yeah! Hope to see some familiar faces but those that know CC are of course welcome too. Just mention that you are there for CC at the door! Mom (Marie)

Why is it the panel for this event does not include a single advocate for gun-owners' rights? WithRead More all due respect to Chief McNamara, why does the panel no include a person who can speak to gun safety from a gun-owning civilian's perspective? ML, you claim that the assembled folks "do not offer judgements about gun ownership" but they are not including a single voice that can offer perspective on gun ownership. I have been to "education" sessions sponsored by Meg's March for Change and they are one-sided indoctrinations into gun control advocacy. >>>> I was in Hartford for the public hearings in January when both Meg and March co-founder Nancy gave their personal testimonies and they all but threatened the legislators on the panel with election day retribution for all those who did not tow the gun-control line of thinking (i.e. March and CAGV). To suggest that Meg "does not offer judgements" is fallacious and disingenuous.
