Homicide Victim Last Seen Alive at Shelton Bar

According to a report in the CT Post, citing statements made by police, Console, 42, was in the bar having cocktails less than 24 hours before he was found lying on the sidewalk on Bond Street with fatal head injuries.

Kenneth Console, the home improvement contractor and former New Haven police officer who was found dead on a sidewalk on Bridgeport's East Side on Jan. 19, was reportedly seen the previous evening at on Leavenworth Road in — one of the last places he was seen alive.

According to a report in the CT Post, citing statements made by police, Console, 42, was in the bar having cocktails less than 24 hours before he was found lying on the sidewalk on Bond Street with fatal head injuries. Police reportedly do not have any suspects in the case — and they dod not know how Console got from the bar to where he was body was found in Bridgeport.

Citing statements made by people at Jeremiah’s, Police said Console was at the bar the previous night when he excused himself. Police said witnesses were under the impression he was going to the bathroom — however he never returned. Police reportedly found Console’s truck in bar’s parking lot the next day, with his personal effects, including his cell phone, still inside.

Console, a resident of New Haven, was reportedly a police officer with the New Haven Police Department until 2003, when he switched careers to become a home-improvement contractor.
