BHcare Announces Roberta J. Cook is President/CEO

Ansonia, CT (July 17, 2013) – BHcare is excited to announce that the Board of Directors has appointed Roberta J. Cook as President and Chief Executive Officer following Marilyn Cormack’s retirement.  Ms. Cook has more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit administration, and previously served as the organization’s CEO.

BHcare was formed in 2012 in a merger that united the resources of Birmingham Group Health Services in Ansonia, and Harbor Health Services in Branford.   Prior to the merger, Ms. Cook served as President/CEO of Harbor Health Services.

As president/CEO of BHcare, Ms. Cook will oversee a budget of approximately $19M, a staff of nearly 300, and programs and services in 19 cities and towns throughout Greater New Haven, the Lower Naugatuck Valley and the Shoreline.  Ms. Cook is a Certified Public Accountant, and has a true passion for helping individuals who are struggling with mental illness, addiction, or who are fleeing domestic violence.
