Hawks Ridge of Shelton LLC has filed a revised proposal for 41 acres of farmland off Long Hill Cross Road and Beard Sawmill Road.
The last proposal was under intense scrutiny before it was withdrawn last year. The new one, for 71 Long Hill Cross Road and 26 Beard Sawmill Road, calls for 54 single-family dwellings, 57 townhouse developments and 196 units of assisted living.
"This is a reduction," said Zoning Administrator Rick Schultz.
The farm stand on Bridgeport Avenue will stay, he noted.
A public hearing will be held Jan. 22 in City Hall.
The last proposal met with criticism over traffic concerns and its compliance with the city's development plan, among other things.
