Gas Gauge: Lowest Price Around Rises to $3.69

The average price has risen slightly in the Shelton area. Helping each other find the least expensive stations around.

After dropping to $3.67 in the face consistently higher prices everywhere, the cheapest gas in Shelton ticked back up to $3.68.

Week-over-week, that's still far better than the Connecticut average: A gallon of regular gasoline held steady at $3.74, according to AAA's "Fuel Gauge Report," with mid-grade at $3.87, premium at $3.98 and diesel at $4.13.

One year ago, a gallon of gas in Connecticut would cost, on average, $2.92, with mid-grade at $3.17, premium at $3.25 and diesel at $3.17.
