, located at the Split Rock shopping center on Bridgeport Avenue, was by two Shelton Patch users. Here's a few snippets of what they had to say when the eatery opened in 2010:

"An appetizer, 2 glasses of wine, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts for under $60.00? How is this possible?"

"I couldn't help but notice how open everything was. The fact that I was able to watch my meal being prepared from the dining room made me feel good about where my food was coming from rather than wondering what was going to come out of the kitchen from a chain restaurant."

Meanwhile, Il Palio received a five-star rating on its , and Shelton Patch account holder gave this review:

"Il Palio is the dining gem of Shelton. Having been a customer of Il Palio since it's opening, I contnue to say this is by far the best Italian dining in the area. The current chef Marguerite, is a master at making fresh pasta - and the every dish is a treasure. I recommend Il Palio unhesitatingly to anyone who asks - Where to go in Shelton for fine Italian dining"
