H3 Pet Supply Opens Second Location

Local pet store owners Cynthia Socha and Lisa Gay have a lot to celebrate this year. Their pet store, , located in Shelton, celebrated its fourth anniversary in January. On March 3, they expanded and opened their second store at 475 Hawley Ln. in Stratford. With twice the space, the new store will carry an even larger inventory of pet care items than the Shelton store. 

“With our expanded space, we will be able to serve more pets and their owners than ever,” Gay said. “We love helping pet owners make the right choices to assist them in maintaining the health of their pets.” 

“We are excited to expand into Stratford,” added Socha. “Stratford has a reputation as a very pet friendly town and we look forward to being a part of it.” 

H3 Pet Supply stocks pet foods that are some of the healthiest available on the market. They specialize in natural, holistic, organic and raw foods. Their full line of nutritional supplements and health-related products are meant to complement your pet’s diet to promote optimal health and longevity. They also have an array of treats, toys and accessories designed to keep your pet happy and emotionally satisfied.  

The Stratford store will stock an expanded selection of products for birds and small mammals. For the first time, H3 will be able to assist reptile owners. The Stratford store will stock reptile care items and live feed (crickets & worms). The Stratford store will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11  a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The Shelton store opens an hour later each day during the week; otherwise, the hours are the same.   

H3 Pet Supply has long been active in animal rescue and adoption work and this will now take on another dimension. H3 is partnering with the Stratford Cat Project to have cats and kittens available at the store for adoption during store hours. The cats will reside in a special cat room and will be visible to anyone looking to add a feline friend to their family.

“I’m so excited about the dedicated cat adoption room,” said Socha, “we expect to be able to help so many cats from the community with this addition.”   

A Grand Opening celebration of the Stratford store will be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25 during store hours. There will be prizes and giveaways, as well as products demonstrations and special sales throughout the store.
