Shooting Leaves Shelton High Student In Critical Condition [Updated]

Shelton Police say they have been in contact with the high school administration about the shooting.

Police confirmed Sunday night that a 15 year-old male found shot in a Agawam Trail driveway Saturday night is a student at Shelton High School.

The teen is still listed in critical condition with life threatening injuries.

The victim does not live at the residence where the incident took place, police said.

Police have been in contact with the High School Administration since the victim is a student there.

Meanwhile, Shelton detectives and the State Police Major Crime Squad have finished processing the scene — at a residence on the culdesac, which is tucked in a neighborhood off River Road, near the Farm Mill River.

Police said anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call the department at 203-924-1544.

Update as of 9:45 a.m. on March 16:

Police said the victim, a 15-year-old Shelton teen, is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Detectives remain on scene.

Shelton Police say they found an unidentified man lying in a driveway on Agawam Trail with a gunshot wound Saturday night.

Detectives are actively investigating the shooting, which was reported at 8:45 p.m. on March 15.

EMS took the man to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.

Police were still on scene as of 10 p.m.
