The Story (to be performed Dec 14) tells the lives of stories of people in the Bible beginning with Adam and Eve all the way through Jesus. To be in additional dances students Ages 10+ will also have the opportunity to audition during the placement class Saturday Sept 14 from 12-1
Solos Available-Mary the Mother of Jesus, Mary Magdelene, Trios/Duets, Male Actors are also welcome to audition as there are many males in the Bible Looking for possibly Abraham and Sarah or Adam and Eve duets…

ACTORS 11-12 Sept 14 for all Actors Ages 8-18
ACTORS Parts AvailableNarrator, Papa Panovisch, Widow, Marya, Lydia, Olga, Katya, Grown-up Visitor, Village woman and Child, elderly village woman and child, poor village man, village woman 1 2 and 3, Gang of four urchins, Ivan, Butcher, Mrs. Pachinski, Baker, Sergei Demonskoff, Young Mother, Toddler, Gabriel, Mary, Joseph, Shepherds, Magi, Herod, Herod’s aide, Jewish Priests ( there may be doubling)The Old Shoemaker’s Christmas from the story by Leo Tolstoy.
Christmas Eve has come, but the Russian shoemaker Papa Panovich is sad and alone. He believes Jesus tells him that HE will visit him tomorrow. All the next day Papa Panovich stops to help many-providing a warm drink for Ivan, the street sweeper, encouraging a struggling widow, keeping a gang of pickpockets out of trouble and finally giving a pair of shoes to a young mother’s child. In the end Papa learns a timeless lesson. In this beautiful version the Scriptural account of Christmas is woven into the play.
ALL ENROLLED DANCERS are also welcome to audition for speaking parts in the play.
REHEARSALS will be SATURDAY 11-12.
