There is more information about the pictures on the wall than the actual ice cream. How about a…Read More litle back story Bill? Why did they choose this location? Why ice cream? Is it homemade by Dave and Dave or do they get it from a local vendor? Clearly you took the time to photograph the event, why not take an extra 15 minutes to write about it? It is always exciting to see a new business in downtown Shelton! Please add more details to get people interested.
Also, the caption in the first photograph should read 'his and his son's new ice cream parlor'.

This is unfortunate, but you cannot allow private industry to define legislation...

I commend PTR on this move, I realize it is no small undertaking to uproot a business and change…Read More locations. I too will be leaving the state. It is a sad day when ignorant people make ignorant laws based on emotion, and not facts. I truly feel sorry for the people of CT, NY and CO who are being led like sheep by politicians who want to get their name in the paper.

I love the Roasted Artichoke Chicken Gorgonzola - and yes, it is by far my favorite (although I pick…Read More it up at the 6 Research Drive location).
Jamie, the Milford is a yummy seafood salad, with swiss & dill mayo also one of my favs! I also recommend the Biloxi (Southern style meatloaf, caramelized onions).

Love the split pea, a delicious classic...but here is my one complaint about Liquid Lunch, the…Read More quality of their sandwich meat seems on par or lower than subway. I have been out of the country for 10 months, so this may have changed. I really think Liquid Lunch should step up the sandwich meat to Boars Head, or something of better quality...those funny pieces of skin or covering around the edge of the turkey slices is not cool...Even with the sub par meat the sandwiches are good. Just imagine how much better they would be with a decent deli meat! And yes I would be willing to pay more, and no I do not work for a meat distributor.

Not sure if the Shelton Lady Liberty is wearing the mask or if that's a file photo but if so, lose…Read More the mask it's rather creepy! Lol. I do my taxes elsewhere but I enjoy waving to the smiling people in the costume. I give them a lot of credit for doing that and they most certainly ARE always smiling!

"D-d-did you s-say oreo and reeses muffins? DO WANT" - Carn E Saur
"I can understand…Read More wanting to add muffins, but I'm getting really tired of everyone doing things with Oreos, Reeses and the same old things all the time - whether it's a flurry, blizzard, cake, yogurt ... we are becoming a nation that is losing its flavor in favor of too many chain flavors. I still wish them all the best, though." - Kathy Moran
"That's great news. I hope they can renovate It to a more trendy atmosphere both on the floor design and signage. That would be a step in right direction for Huntington center. So far it's one down 40 to go. The one being Huntington street cafe which is definitely a step in right direction." - Matthew Petrocelli

Thank you so much for this story, we are so happy to tell you that we plan on being opened for…Read More spring. We can't wait to see our customers, who are missed. It was 30 years this past summer and that was very hard for us, instead of celebrating we were all crying at our loss. Sass and it's customers are like family to us, watching babies grow to be our future customers with families of their own. I will keep in touch with everyone to let you know when we will open and hope to see you all there.
