The Rotary Club is an non-partisan service club with more than 1.2 million members worldwide. The club is dedicated to community service initiatives and operates a number of fundraisers and other undertakings to benefit the local area. The Derby-Shelton branch participates in and hosts a variety of events and programs, including lobsters bakes, luncheons, Shelton Day and a scholarship program. The club also operates the Derby-Shelton Rotary Club Pavilion on the Shelton Riverfront.
