Relay For Life Kick-Off Meeting Tonight

Shelton and Naugatuck Valley come together to celebrate cancer survivors and support family and friends of victims.

Shelton and Naugatuck Valley's 2012 Kick-Off was held last month at the . Packed with community members supporting this amazing fight against cancer, the event also featured a candle lit ceremony celebrating survivors. This year's theme, "Cirque-Du Relay," was the reason the whole room was themed with circus decorations, snacks and refreshments.

The next meeting will be held on March 7 at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Center. You are welcome to attend even if you haven't signed your team up yet, plenty of information will be available.

Last year's Relay For Life event raised over $62,000 and this years goal will be $68,000.

The Shelton Riverwalk will again be the venue for this year's event to be held on June 2nd and 3rd and will also include Naugatuck Valley supporters.

After the amazing success and participation of last year's event, Kristen Ostrowski will event chair again along with American Cancer Society's Staff Partner, Breigh Garguilo.
