Photo Contest: Is Your Dog The Top Dog?

Everyone knows their dog is the best dog.

Now, Shelton Patch is giving you the chance to prove it.

This month, in conjunction with , Patch is launching its Top Dog contest.

First, we want you to go and get your dog officially licensed at the City/Town Clerk's Office at the City Hall (as required by law) — and then we want you to enter our contest.

Here’s how it works:

Upload your favorite photo of your dog to this article. In the caption, tell us your dog’s name and what makes him or her so special. One photo per owner.

From now until this Friday, June 14, our users will vote in the comments on which dog is Shelton's Top Dog. So make sure you hit that social media campaign trail early!

On June 15, we will announce the winner of Shelton Patch's Top Dog contest. And we'll also have a prize for the Top Dog, too!

To vote: Look for the number in the top right corner of the photo and refer to that in the comments.
