Misunderstood Snakes Get Their Moment in the Sun

It's the year of the snake and the Beardsley Zoo and DEEP want to share knowledge of what they say is a largely misunderstood member of animal society.

If you've ever wanted to see snakes up close and personal (and handled by professionals), then these programs are for you.

The Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and Connecticut’s Beardsley Park Zoo are hosting free programs at local state parks, with the goal of teaching people about snakes and the role they play in the environment.
