The girls baskeball team looks to clinch a berth in the state tournament on Wednesday when the Gaelettes visit West Haven (7 p.m.).
Shelton has won two in a row, including a 49-32 victory over North Haven last Friday, to improve to 7-7 with six games remaining in the regular season.
However, after beating a pair of winless teams in Lyman Hall and North Haven, the Gaelettes could get a tougher test against West Haven.
The Blue Devils have won their last two games and enter Wednesday's contest with a 12-4 record after defeating Hamden 59-37 on Monday.
