Orlovsky only completed 11-of-17 passes for 82 yards, but tossed an 18-yard touchdown pass to Reggie Wayne that gave the Colts the lead for good with 9:36 remaining in the third quarter.

Orlovsky got a lot of help from another UConn product as running back Donald Brown rushed for 161 yards, including an 80-yard TD run that clinched the victory with just over three minutes remaining. Orlovsky threw a key block on the play.

"I'm happy for a lot of people on this team, for a lot of people in this organization," said Orlovsky, who had been 0-9 in his NFL career. "It's a lot better than the feeling we've had lately."

The Colts (1-13) were three games away from the matching the 2008 Detroit Lions as the only teams in NFL history to go 0-16. Ironically, Orlovsky made seven starts for that team.

After being released by the Lions, Orlovsky served as Matt Schaub's backup in Houston. He was signed by the Colts following Peyton Manning's neck surgery.

Two weeks ago, Orlovsky replaced Curtis Painter as the Colts' starter and completed 30 of 37 passes for 353 yards and two TDs in a 31-28 loss to the New England Patriots.
