Shelton Lakes Recreation Path Grand Opening. Ribbon cutting at 9:30 am followed by a hike & bike at 11:00 am.
The ribbon cutting will be held next to the Dog Park at the corner of Shelton Avenue and Nells Rock Road. Additional parking at Shelton Intermediate School across the street. The Hike & Bike will start at Pine Lake, located on Shelton Avenue 0.2 mile northeast of Meadow Street, and end in Huntington Center. Rides will be provided back. The Rec Path is four miles long and consists of 8-12 foot crushed stone trail suitable for baby strollers. Some long but gradual hills. Children and leashed dogs welcome. Raindate for the Hike & Bike is Sunday, October 7, at 1:00 pm.
