The following local residents were named to the Fall 2012 Dean's List at Saint Michael's College, a liberal arts, residential Catholic college located in Burlington, Vermont:
- Kenneth Giangregorio, son of Cheryl and Kenneth Giangregorio of Shelton, a Sophomore Secondary Education major, who graduated from Shelton High School before coming to Saint Michael's.
- Teresa Lautenschlager, daughter of Marlene and William Lautenschlager of Shelton, a Senior Business Administration and Psychology major, who graduated from Academy of Our Lady of Mercy before coming to Saint Michael's.
Students who complete a minimum of 12 credits and achieve a grade point average of at least 3.4 at the end of a semester are recognized for their scholarship by inclusion on the Dean's List.
