The 16th Annual Career Resources/HCC Job Fair

Employers from throughout the region are coming to Bridgeport to participate in the year’s largest job fair.  Some of those employers at the Career Resources and Housatonic Community College Community Job Fair will be hiring on the spot.  Job seekers are encouraged to dress for interviews and bring plenty of resumes.  The 16th Annual Career Resources/HCC Job Fair will feature construction companies, government employers, major nonprofits, retailers, hospitality companies, manufacturers and other industries.  AT&T, Best Buy, Home Depot, Cablevision, Connecticut State Police, United Illuminating, Yale University and many other significant operations will be represented.

To make certain area candidates put their best foot forward, Career Resources will be providing free resume critiques before the event, March 9 through 14. This service is available on a drop-in basis from 9 AM to 11 AM at the Bridgeport CTWorks One Stop Center, at 350 Fairfield Avenue in Downtown Bridgeport.

As the operator of the One Stop Center in Bridgeport, Career Resources serves 15,000 job seekers annually with job search assistance, computer labs and Internet access, job posting, career coaching, training and other services. Other Career Resources programs include STRIVE attitudinal job readiness training, Adult Basic Education and GED Preparation, Fathers for Life and specialized job placement for mature workers and those with disabilities.
