GED and English as a Second Language(ESL) Classes Offer this Summer

Valley Regional Adult Education will offer continuing education courses this summer beginning 7/11 through 8/16.

English as aSecond Language (ESL) class will help  student improve reading, writing and understand English.

GED class prepares students in the areas of writing, reading, science, social studies and math in
order to take the state administered GED exam.

Both classes willbe held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30am to 12:30pm at the Adult
Learning Center at 415 Howe Avenue in Shelton. In person registration and orientation are Tuesday, July 10th from 9:30 to 11:30am. There is no fee for either class. Limited enrollment is on a first come first served basis.
Students must be a resident of Ansonia, Derby, Monroe, Seymour or Shelton to participate.

Valley Regional Adult Education (VRAE) provides educational services to the residents of
Ansonia, Derby, Monroe, Seymour, and Shelton. Adults come to Valley Regional Adult Education to attend free academic programs or to take advantage of
numerous enrichment courses offered in each Valley town.

Adult education programs in Connecticut address the needs of the undereducated adult, the new arrival to this country, and the individual as worker, parent and community
