Shelton Garbage Collection Resumes Friday

On Friday, Feb. 15, garbage and recycling collection will resume in Shelton after the snowstorm delayed the process.

 

The city of Shelton provided the following information on garbage and recycling collection resuming after the snowstorm.

Trash and recycling collection will resume on Friday, Feb. 15, and will be picked up wherever feasible.

Collection will be on your regularly schedule day. Missed recycling days will be picked up on the following scheduled week.

Residents are requested to place carts in their driveway area, if feasible, especially if your road has not been fully cleared to curbs.

Please remove them as soon as possible as the plow trucks are continuing to “push back.”

Condo associations and mobile home parks that have dumpsters will be picked up on its scheduled day, providing the snow has been removed to allow clear access to the dumpster.

Residents are advised to hold back on recyclables and non-perishable trash that doesn’t fit into their carts.

The Transfer Station will also be open for residents that wish to dispose of trash and recyclables beginning Feb. 14, 2013.
