Incumbents Endorsed for Shelton's GOP Slate

After being endorsed for a 12th term Monday night, Mayor Mark A. Lauretti's advised voters to "stay the course."

The Republican Town Committee had the same idea, nominating incumbents for town positions, from the Library Board to City Treasurer.

The following candidates were chosen to run for town positions:

Board of Aldermen

  • First Ward: Anthony Simonetti, Eugene Kierce
  • Second Ward: Stan Kudej, Eric McPherson
  • Third Ward: John Anglace Jr., Lynne Farrell
  • Fourth Ward: Noreen McGorty, John Papa
City Treasurer:
  • Raymond O'Leary
Board of Education
  • Kathy Yolish
  • Tom Minotti (Vice Chairman)
  • John Francino-Quinn
  • Win Oppel
  • Mark Holden (Chairman)
Planning & Zoning Commission
Four-year terms:
  • Ruth Parkins (Chairwoman)
  • Anthony Pogoda (Vice Chairman)
Two year Terms:
  • Thomas McGorty
  • Virginia Harger
