After being endorsed for a 12th term Monday night, Mayor Mark A. Lauretti's advised voters to "stay the course."
The Republican Town Committee had the same idea, nominating incumbents for town positions, from the Library Board to City Treasurer.
The following candidates were chosen to run for town positions:

- Second Ward: Stan Kudej, Eric McPherson
- Third Ward: John Anglace Jr., Lynne Farrell
- Fourth Ward: Noreen McGorty, John Papa
- Raymond O'Leary
- Kathy Yolish
- Tom Minotti (Vice Chairman)
- John Francino-Quinn
- Win Oppel
- Mark Holden (Chairman)
Four-year terms:
- Ruth Parkins (Chairwoman)
- Anthony Pogoda (Vice Chairman)
