Justin Andrew Laughner, 20, of Country Walk, Shelton, faces numerous drug charges after he was arrested by the Statewide Narcotics Task Force.
Laughner is charged with illegal manufacturing, distribution of sale of prescription drugs, illegal possession near a school, illegal possession of an hallucinogen of four or more ounces of cannabis, risk of injury to a minor, sale of a controlled substance, use of a drug paraphernalia and weapons in a motor vehicle.
Shelton Police said they stopped the car after a reported hand-to-hand drug sale.
Laughner is free on a written promise to appear in Derby Superior Court.
