Shelton Woman Arrested in Trumbull

A Shelton woman and Trumbull man face drug charges after Trumbull police stopped their car.

Gina Garamella, 23, of Moose Hill Road, is charged with possession of narcotics and possession of a controlled substance.

Kevin Halls, 20, of Catherine Street, Trumbull, is charged with illegal sale and possession of a controlled substance.

Police said an officer patrolling businesses near Town Hall saw the car change lanes without signalling and they pulled over near the Trumbull Mall. Garamella, the driver, appeared nervous and the passenger had his driver's license out.

Officers allegedly found loose pills in her purse and empty glassine bags. The passenger narcotics hidden in his gym shorts and officers found $1,912, police said.

He had thrown a baggie of marijuana in the bushes, police added.

Halls' bond was set at $10,000. Garamella is free on a written promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court.
