Update as of 8:30 a.m. on March 17:

Shelton Police have identified the victim as Kristjan Ndoj, a 15-year-old Shelton High School student.

Ndoj is still listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

Our report from Sunday evening follows:

Police have confirmed that a 15 year-old male found shot in a Agawam Trail driveway Saturday night is a student at Shelton High School.

The teen was still listed in critical condition with life threatening injuries as of Sunday evening. WFSB reports that he was shot once in the head and once in the leg.

Police said he does not live at the residence where the incident took place — at a residence on the culdesac, which is tucked in a neighborhood off River Road, near Farm Mill River.

Police have been in contact with the high school administration since the victim is a student there, and they say the investigation is ongoing. SHS Headmaster Beth Smith told Connecticut Post reporter Linda Lambeck that there will be extra police at school Monday and a crisis team on hand.

Meanwhile, after nearly 24 hours, Shelton detectives and the State Police Major Crime Squad have finished processing the scene. Shelton Police responded to an Agawam Trail residence at about 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, after getting a report that someone was found shot in the driveway.

Police said anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call the department at 203-924-1544.
