Shelton Police Stop Sidewalk Crack Sale

The following information comes from a press release by Detective Ben Trabka of the Shelton Police Dept. It does not indicate convictions.

On Friday, September 2, made several drug arrests. One arrest was made when detectives observed a drug deal on a sidewalk on Howe Avenue about 2 p.m. Edward Taylor, 26, of 193 Howe Ave. was observed selling crack cocaine to another male. Police seized a couple of bags of crack cocaine and $180 from Taylor. There was also an outstanding arrest warrant for a recent burglary for Taylor as well.

Officers located 44-year-old Aaron Siberon in an adjacent apartment. Siberon resides at 193 Howe Ave. Siberon was arrested on a warrant for the same burglary which occurred on August 12, 2011. Both were charged with third degree burglary and sixth degree larceny for the burglary. Taylor was charged with criminal attempt illegal sale of cocaine and illegal possession of cocaine. Taylor was held on $45,000 bond and will be arraigned in Derby Superior Court today. Siberon posted $50,000 bond and has a court date of September 12.
