A man wearing a black hoodie and black ski mask displayed a gun as he robbed Cumberland Farms on River Road at about 2 p.m. Sunday, Shelton Police said.

The employee who was faced with the dangerous end of the gun in the store at 819 River Rd. told police that the robber demanded money. The robber got it.

"The male then left the store with an undetermined amount of money," police said in a news release. "The employee was not injured."

Detectives are investigating the matter and have asked the public: "Anyone with any information is asked to call the Detective Bureau at (203) 924-1544."
