On August 6, detectives arrested 38-year-old Kerry McGuire, of 245 Oakwood Drive in Fairfield, on charges of:
- First-degree sexual assault (2 counts);
- Risk of injury to a minor (2 counts); and
- Violation of a protective order
Police said the charges are related to a 14-year-old victim and that McGuire was arrested after a six-week investigation.
McGuire was held on a $150,000 court-set bond. He was scheduled to be arraigned in Derby Superior Court today. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
