Shelton Police Arrest Burglary Suspect

On January 13, Detectives arrested 24-year-old Robert Murhamer, of 109 Howe Ave. in Shelton, on a warrant. Murhamer was charged with third degree burglary and third degree larceny. Murhamer was held on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Derby Court on January 17.

Shelton Detectives have linked Murhamer to three additional residential burglaries in Shelton over the past several months. Shelton Detectives have worked with Derby, Seymour, and Middlebury Detectives in the investigation into residential burglaries. Murhamer has been linked to numerous burglaries in those other towns as well.

Detectives from the above mentioned agencies have also executed several search warrants related to the residential burglaries. Police are continuing their investigations and more arrests are expected.
