Shelton Man Charged with Public Indeceny

The following arrest information comes from a press release by Lt. Robert Kozlowsky of the Shelton Police Dept. It does not indicate convictions.

On April 17 at approximately 11:00 a.m., responded to Riverview Park, located on Howe Avenue, on a report of a suspicious male in a vehicle originally in the area of Birchbank Road. An officer approached the vehicle and noticed a male in the driver’s seat with his pants down. The male could not explain why his pants were down or why he was in the area.

Shelton Police arrested the male, 63-year-old Michael Chupick of Nichols Avenue, and charged him with public indecency. Chupick was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at Derby Court on May 1.

Police responded to a report of a suspicious male in a similar vehicle in the same area yesterday, but were unable to locate the male at that time.
