Shelton Man Arrested For Paying Teen to Fight Other Teen

The following information comes from a press release by Lt. Robert Kozlowsky of the Shelton Police Dept.

On May 26, 42-year-old Philip Prokop, of Old Coram Road in Shelton, was arrested and charged with inciting injury to a person, risk of injury to a minor, and conspiracy to commit third degree assault. Prokop was released on a $10,000 bond and given a court date of June 4.

Prokop was arrested based upon an investigation by police which determined that Prokop paid a teenager money to fight a 13-year-old girl who he believed was bullying his daughter. During the fight, police determined that Prokop grabbed another 13-year-old female to stop her from getting involved in the fight. The parents of both of the 13-year-old victims refused medical attention for their children while on scene.
