Shelton Fire Crews Rescued Passenger Tuesday from Crash

Squad 5 used rescue equipment to stabilize a car and pull out a passenger.

A passenger was pulled from a car crash that put two cars in the woods Tuesday on Route 8.

Echo Hose Hook and Ladder Co. 1 responded to the accident around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to its website. Squad 5 used rescue equipment to stabilize one car, and crews took off the passenger side door to get a person out.

The state Department of Transportation told the Hartford Courant the cars crashed between Exits 12 and 13 on the northbound side of the highway.
