Shelton Family With Sick Children Ousted by Fire

P.J. and Nicole Corbesato of Shelton and their two young daughters, who suffer from heart conditions, lost most of their belongings after a dryer fire in their condominium Sunday.

So friends have started a campaign on giveforward.com to help the family.

"While PJ was working, the dryer in their rented condo caught fire. While Nicole and the girls were able to get out of the house and everyone is OK, all of their belongings are gone. Unfortunately, they do not have renters insurance," according to the Website.

The mother, a hairdresser, has been home caring for the children while Corbesato works. They are also frequently in and out of the hospital.

Both siblings were born with a congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and both have and will require heart surgery.
