Iris Aponte, 27, of Kneen Street, is charged with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
Police said Aponte was arguing and hit the man with the mug, causing injuries. He was treated at a local hospital.
Her bond was set at $500 for an appearance Derby Superior Court.
