Shelton Cops Release 911 Tape of Gas Station Dragging

While police question a potential suspect in the dragging of a Cumberland Farms clerk early Tuesday, they released the tape of the 911 call about 2:20 p.m. on Wednesday.

Early Tuesday morning, a female 911 caller reports that a car hit her son at Cumberland Farms on River Road.

Another person then reports that the 36-year-old man, who remains critical in Bridgeport Hospital, appears to have a broken arm and is unconscious and seizing. But he was still breathing.

He was also bleeding from a head wound, police said.

The male caller said he did not get the license plate of the truck but told police several there were several occupants, according to the recording.

Wednesday morning, police said the alleged driver of the SUV, a 19-year-old man, was cooperating with detectives. He has not been arrested, police added.

The thieves were stealing David Hasselhoff signs, police said.
