Shelton Cops: Man Fell Asleep, Crashed

Thomas Robert Delucia, 40, of Melon Patch Lane, Monroe, faces drug charges after he allegedly fell asleep at the wheel of his car and crashed into a sign Nov. 30.

Police said Delucia fled but was later spotted and pulled over. He had cocaine and heroin, drug paraphernalia and empty folds that used to contain drugs, police added.

Delucia is charged with evading responsibility, illegal possession and use of drug paraphernalia.

His bond was set at $1,000 for an appearance in Derby Superior Court.
