Jennifer Marie Mahoney, 28, of Summit Street, Derby, is charged with illegal obtaining/supplying of prescription drugs and sixth-degree larceney.
Police said Mahoney called a Shelton vet's office and asked for an anesthetic for another vet's office. When the alleged victims called the other office, that office denied making the request but suspected Mahoney, police said.
Mahoney had been terminated from her job at the vet's office, according to police.
She is free on a written promise to appear in Derby Superior Court.
