A man and woman are charged with sixth-degree larceny after allegedly stealing from Carroll's Home Improvement.
Amanda R. Marceau, 28, of Laurel Hill Avenue, Norwich, and Michael Earl Prater, 43, of Bridgeport Avenue, Shelton, are each charged with sixth-degree larceny.
Police said Marceau entered the store and asked for paint samples while Prater pocketed items. They then walked out of the store, police said.
The duo later tried to sell the items while they still had tags on them. Police located Marceau, who allegedly still had the stolen items.
The two are free on written promises to appear in Derby Superior Court.
