Police Pull in Holiday Haul for Shelton Families

Efforts of Shelton Police Dept. and Outback Steakhouse are a holiday success!

More than 30 families in Shelton will have a merrier Christmas thanks to the kindness of fellow residents during this year's annual Shelton Police Dept. Toy Drive.

Chief Joel Hurliman thanked all participants in a press release for their contributions.

"The remainder of the toys are going to be donated to the Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital. A special thanks goes to Outback Steakhouse for their assistance and Pitney Bowes Inc. for their extremely generous donations," he said.

Earlier this month, Outback Steakhouse joined in on the toy drive by serving as a drop-off site and by offering a free appetizer or dessert to any customer who donated.
