Police Log: $75K Bond For Court No-Show

The following arrest information is provided by the Shelton Police Dept. It does not indicate convictions.

Jeffrey Paul Rice, 46, of Wooster Street was arrested on October 22 at 9 a.m. on charges of:

  • Disorderly conduct
  • Second degree threatening

Rice was held on a $1,000 bond for each charge and does not have a scheduled court date.

Gloria Ann Gallant, 30, of Stratford was arrested on October 21 at 6:15 a.m. for failing to appear in court. Her bond was set at $75,000 and she was scheduled to appear the next day, October 22.

Michael Daniel Savignano, 24, of Ansonia was arrested on October 19 at 9 a.m. on charges of:

  • Illegal possession
  • Use of drug paraphernalia

Savignano was held on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court November 2.

Petrit Kojeli, 49, of Center Street was arrested on October 18 at 11:50 a.m. on the charge of no insurance. He is scheduled to appear in court November 2.

Dayanira Cotto, 43, of Long Hill Avenue was arrested on October 16 at 11:20 p.m. on charges of:

  • Second degree forgery
  • Third degree larceny

Cotto was held on a $10,000 bond.

Christopher J. Birch, 30, of Falmouth Drive was arrested on October 16 at 9 p.m. on the charge of second degree criminal mischief. He was held on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court October 30.

Why is it the panel for this event does not include a single advocate for gun-owners' rights? WithRead More all due respect to Chief McNamara, why does the panel no include a person who can speak to gun safety from a gun-owning civilian's perspective? ML, you claim that the assembled folks "do not offer judgements about gun ownership" but they are not including a single voice that can offer perspective on gun ownership. I have been to "education" sessions sponsored by Meg's March for Change and they are one-sided indoctrinations into gun control advocacy. >>>> I was in Hartford for the public hearings in January when both Meg and March co-founder Nancy gave their personal testimonies and they all but threatened the legislators on the panel with election day retribution for all those who did not tow the gun-control line of thinking (i.e. March and CAGV). To suggest that Meg "does not offer judgements" is fallacious and disingenuous.
