Police Investigating Bomb Threat at Shelton High

The threat reportedly was made just as school was getting out yesterday, police say.

Shelton Police are investigating a bomb threat that was made at Shelton High School just before dismissal yesterday.

The threat was specific, police said, and was called into the school system. Police and fire officials responded immediately to the school, but a search did not turn up any evidence.

"Students were allowed to exit the school at their regular dismissal time with police and fire officials monitoring," police said. "Police are working with school officials to identify the suspect."

Picked my child up during this. The kids had no clue what was happening. The police presence was one car as for fire officials never saw one.

Was picking up my niece at dismissal and the officer there was the usual daily officer anyway SO if this was a true threat I'm disgusted Bc their were no outside officials present & isn't the Police dept across the street. Not okay with the handling of this !!!!!

Why is it the panel for this event does not include a single advocate for gun-owners' rights? WithRead More all due respect to Chief McNamara, why does the panel no include a person who can speak to gun safety from a gun-owning civilian's perspective? ML, you claim that the assembled folks "do not offer judgements about gun ownership" but they are not including a single voice that can offer perspective on gun ownership. I have been to "education" sessions sponsored by Meg's March for Change and they are one-sided indoctrinations into gun control advocacy. >>>> I was in Hartford for the public hearings in January when both Meg and March co-founder Nancy gave their personal testimonies and they all but threatened the legislators on the panel with election day retribution for all those who did not tow the gun-control line of thinking (i.e. March and CAGV). To suggest that Meg "does not offer judgements" is fallacious and disingenuous.
